Lake Garda wins five positions in the top 10 of the “happiest towns in Italy: a ranking based on 47 socio-economic indicators that form the so-called BIL (Gross Domestic Welfare), elaborated by the Centro Studi Sintesi and published recently by the economic newspaper Il Sole 24 Ore. On the podium of the league there are three Alto Adige villages, Brunico, Vipiteno and Egna, but the largest share falls right in the Lake Garda, either with the Verona and Brescia sides: at the fourth position we find Peschiera, on the fifth Lazise, Bardolino on the sixth, seventh and tenth Sirmione Manerba. A total of 158 italian mucipalities have gained access to the ranking of places where people live better, according to social, economic and environmental parameters. For Garda, a great success, but also a confirmation of the prerogatives that make the largest italian lake such a unique place in the world.
